Having researched genetics and biochemistry for over 20 years, she understands the critical effects of drugs and chemicals (nutrients, contaminants, pollutants, additives, etc) on your genetic material and well-being. Kaz integrates her profession with her passion for personal fitness. She is certified by ACSM (American College of Sport Medicine), ACE (American Council on Exercise) and the University of California, Berkeley. She is also recognized as an Elite Personal Trainer by IDEA Health and Fitness Association and is an expert in lifestyle and weight management. Her areas of expertise include clinical exercise, older adults, pre and post natal women, and running. She gives lectures on the prevention of osteoporosis, the effects of medicine and supplements on exercise, and the impact of the human genome project at national conferences for fitness professionals. Kaz is also a central New Jersey director of WITS (World Instructor Training Schools) and teaches national personal trainer certification courses at Mercer Community College and Raritan Valley Community College.
Kaz's state-of-the-art fitness training is enhanced by her health and technology studies at MIT and nutrition studies at Rutgers University. Her diverse background includes dance aerobics, modern ballet, yoga, strength training, sports nutrition, and running (she was ranked 3rd among Master's Women in the Northern California Pacific Track and Field Association Cross Country Race in 1995 and 1996). Kaz works full time for a company, helping develop new medicine to fulfill the unmet needs of patients. Even though this job requires that she travel often, she still exercises and eats a healthy diet. She will not let you make the excuse that you don't have time to exercise!
